This guide will walk you through the process of migrating your MKR tokens to SKY and your DAI tokens to USDS on the Ethereum blockchain using your Coinomi wallet and a web browser.


Before you begin:

  • Ensure you have the latest version of the Coinomi app installed on your device.
  • Have your MKR and/or DAI tokens in your Coinomi Ethereum wallet.


Steps to Migrate Your Tokens:

  1. Open the Migration Website: Open your preferred web browser (e.g., Chrome, Safari, Firefox) on your device or computer and navigate to the token migration website: https://pro.summer.fi/ethereum/sky/upgrade .

  2. Connect to Coinomi via WalletConnect:

    • On the migration website, Click "Connect Wallet" and in the next window select the "WalletConnect" button. 
    • Desktop Browser: A QR code will appear.
      • Open your Coinomi app on your mobile device.
      • Select the '+' FAB and then select 'ScanQR/WalletConnect'.
      • Scan the QR and confirm the connection request in Coinomi. After doing so, You will need to click "sign message" in the migration website and confirm the request in Coinomi to proceed.    
        - Remember, keep Coinomi open whilst you complete the rest of the steps.

    • Mobile browser:A WalletConnect Modal will appear. Tap "Select Wallet" and select Coinomi from the options presented. 
      • Coinomi will open with a request to connect.
      • Click "Approve" to connect to the website.
        - Remember, keep Coinomi open in the background whilst you complete the rest of the steps

  3. Enter the Amount to Upgrade:

    • Once your wallet is connected, you should see options to migrate your MKR and/or DAI.
    • For each token you wish to migrate you will need to complete steps 3-6, enter the specific amount you want to upgrade in the designated field on the website.

  4. Authorize the "Set allowance" Transaction in Your Wallet:

    • After entering the amount, click the "Set Allowance" button on the migration website.
    • This will prompt a transaction request in your Coinomi app.
    • Open your Coinomi app and review the transaction details.
    • Confirm and authorize the transaction within your Coinomi app.

  5. Click "Upgrade" on the Website:

    • Once the initial allowance authorization is confirmed on the blockchain, return to the migration website in your browser. You should now see an "Upgrade" button become active. Click on it.


  6. Sign the Transaction in Your Wallet:

    • Clicking "Upgrade" on the website will trigger another transaction request in Coinomi.
    • Open Coinomi again. You will see a message asking you to review and sign the transaction.
    • Review the details and sign the transaction in your Coinomi app. This step confirms your intent to perform the migration.

  7. Confirmation:

    • After successfully signing the transaction in your wallet, the migration process will begin.
    • The website should display a confirmation message once the transaction has been completed.
    • You can also check the transaction status on a blockchain explorer (like Etherscan) using the transaction hash.


Important Notes:

  • Ensure you are on the correct and official migration website. Double-check the URL.
  • Be cautious of phishing attempts. Never enter your seed phrase or private keys on any website. WalletConnect allows you to interact with the website securely through your Coinomi app.
  • After connecting to the site with WalletConnect, Keep Coinomi open or in the background to maintain the connection. 
  • You will need a small amount of ETH in your Coinomi wallet to pay for the gas fees associated with the Ethereum transactions.
